Quick answer
Do not approve a pool table from the 7ft label alone. Put the overall assembled size and the exact cushion-to-cushion playing length and width on a dimensioned order drawing, then confirm the table geometry, rails, pockets, cloth cut plan and inspection method before production.
Separate the model label from measured dimensions
A supplier may use 7ft as a market or cabinet label. Your purchase order should state both the finished outside dimensions and the playing area measured between the cushion noses. Keep units consistent and require the playing length and width to form the intended 2:1 rectangle.
Freeze the rail and pocket specification
Record cushion profile, rail material, rail height, sight or diamond layout, pocket type, pocket opening reference and ball size. A correct outside size does not by itself confirm the playing geometry or the intended game standard.
Match the cloth to the verified table
Order bed and rail cloth from the approved measured drawing. Confirm cloth product, color, roll width, bed allowance, six rail pieces, nap or face direction when applicable, and the installer method instead of buying only by the nominal table label.
Use a signed pre-production drawing
The buyer and supplier should approve one revision that shows the model, overall dimensions, playing area, rail and pocket details, component list and tolerances. Attach it to the purchase order so photographs, chat messages and listing titles cannot override the agreed specification.
Inspect before packing
Measure the assembled outside length and width, the playing area in both directions and both diagonals. Photograph the tape positions, test level and rebound, check pocket alignment and rail sights, and record the results against the approved drawing before the table is dismantled for export packing.
Send a dimension-complete RFQ
Include destination, quantity, intended use, nominal size, required playing area, ball size, pocket style, cloth, payment or ball-return requirement, branding, packing and installation responsibility. Ask the factory to return a marked drawing and identify every field that is still unconfirmed.
What to include in your RFQ
For a comparable quotation, send the target billiard discipline or table model, destination country, expected order quantity, intended venue, required customization and preferred delivery window. Ask the supplier to separate the standard scope, optional items, spare parts, export packing and installation support.
