Three-piece slate is usually easier to move through normal buildings and can be precisely leveled during installation. One-piece slate removes seams but needs a wider, stronger handling route and may be impractical for stairs or upper floors.
Access comes first
Measure doors, turns, elevators and floor loading before choosing the slate. A configuration that cannot safely reach the room is not the right configuration, regardless of purchase price.
Installation quality matters
A trained installer can align, level and finish the seams of a multi-piece slate so they do not affect play. Ask how the frame supports each joint, which seam material is used and how final level is measured.
Plan for future relocation
Commercial buyers should consider refurbishment and relocation from the start. Record slate numbering, hardware locations, assembly sequence and level readings so a later move does not become guesswork.
What to include in your RFQ
For a comparable quotation, send the target billiard discipline or table model, destination country, expected order quantity, intended venue, required customization and preferred delivery window. Ask the supplier to separate the standard scope, optional items, spare parts, export packing and installation support.
